On September 30th, a symposium on the work of geographical indications in Pingjiang County was held in the conference room on the 5th floor of the Pingjiang Market Supervision Bureau. Our senior trademark attorney, Zhang Rending, was invited to participate in the symposium and teach relevant knowledge on the registration and protection of geographical indications. The attendees included representatives from Pingjiang County Agriculture, Forestry, Archives, Science and Technology, Food, Mica, Gypsum, Huangjing, Camellia oleifera Association, as well as Food Stocks of Pingjiang County Municipal Supervision Bureau.

At the meeting, Zhang Rending held a themed sharing meeting titled "Sharing of Geographical Indication Proof Trademarks". The sharing content was mainly divided into four parts: first, analysis of geographical indications, second, review of geographical indication proof trademarks, third, the role of geographical indication proof trademarks, and fourth, brand improvement and layout of geographical indication proof trademarks.

In the lecture, Zhang Rending mentioned that strengthening the cultivation of geographical indication brands has responded to the call of national policies. The national, local governments, and intellectual property bureaus have all introduced relevant policies to support relevant departments, enterprises, or associations in cultivating local characteristic brands. Zhang Rending conducted a detailed analysis of the registration of geographical indication certification trademarks in Hunan and Pingjiang County, and provided a detailed explanation of the certification trademark review process and the necessary conditions.

At the training meeting, Zhang Rending also provided a simple and in-depth explanation of the role and significance of applying for a geographical indication certification trademark, and had interactive exchanges with relevant representatives, timely answering questions about the use of geographical indication certification trademarks.
